3 star anise
¼ c honey (or other sweetener)
¼ c sugar
½ c water
1 c pear nectar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 chilled bottle of Cupcake Prosecco
To begin, use a small pot set on medium-high heat to bring the star anise, honey, sugar, and water to a boil. As soon as it begins to boil, you can reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the syrup will coat a spoon.
Then, add the pear nectar and again use medium-high heat to bring the mixture to a boil once again. Once boiling, remove it from the heat, cover it, and allow it to stand for several minutes. Next, pour the mixture into a small bowl through a strainer. Add the lemon juice and allow to chill for about 30 minutes.
Using a flute or martini glass, fill it to the halfway point with the pear mixture and then top it off with the Cupcake Prosecco.
