Herb Pizza Made with a White Wine Parmesan Sauce

Ingredients:

  • ½ c chardonnay
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp minced onion
  • ½ c olive oil
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 c shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pre-made herb pizza dough
  • sprigs of spinach and basil
  • toppings of your choice (tomatoes, mushrooms, and chicken go especially well with this)

To make the sauce, combine the chardonnay, garlic, onion, olive oil, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, oregano, and salt and pepper in a saucepan. Heat them for at least 10 minutes on a low setting, being sure to stir it occasionally.

To make the crust, follow the package directions. Then, place the crust on a greased pizza pan or baking sheet, spread the cheese sauce, and add your desired toppings.
